WHAT IS THE INCI-NAME OF BEE VENOM

INCI Name: BEE VENOM
Description: Bee Venom is the venom collected from the honeybee, Apis melifera consisting chiefly of melittin
Functions: ASTRINGENT, SKIN PROTECTING
All cosmetics sold for consumer use within the EU must have it's content specified. No exceptions. But the cryptic names cannot always be blamed on manufacturers. Approved names of the ingredients are listed in a list so full of confusion and lack of systematic that one wonders. They are also inconsistent with each other. It is clear that the work is shared between several workplaces and parties with little or no contact with each other. The list "International Nomenclature for Cosmetic Ingredients" was initiated by EU authorities in 1993 in collaboration with the industry organizations CTFA in the United States and Colipca in Europe. The terms are English, not British. Because the headquarters are in Washington. The 2008 revised list became another patchwork. Everything in the list is not allowed in cosmetics - it also occupies thousands of substances that are explicitly prohibited. But when it comes to bee venom powder it's simply called "BEE VENOM".
